Attendance Overview

The Attendance module helps organizations manage employee working hours, shifts, weekly offs, and attendance regularization.

This module provides complete visibility and control over employee attendance at an organization, department, or individual level.

What You Can Do in Attendance

1. View Attendance Records

You can view attendance:

  • For a specific employee
  • For a department
  • For a business unit
  • For the entire organization

Attendance records include:

  • Check-in and Check-out time
  • Total working hours
  • Break duration
  • Shift assigned
  • Weekly off status
  • Holiday status
  • Leave status
  • Attendance status (Present, Absent, Late, Half Day, etc.)

2. View Attendance Statistics

The Attendance Overview page provides real-time attendance insights at different levels.

You can view statistics for:

  • A specific employee
  • The entire organization
  • A department

Attendance statistics include:

  • Total Employees
  • Present Employees
  • On-Time Arrivals
  • Late Arrivals
  • Employees On Duty
  • Employees On Leave Today
  • Not Checked-In Yet

These statistics help HR and managers:

  • Monitor workforce discipline
  • Identify attendance patterns
  • Track absenteeism trends
  • Improve workforce planning

3. Shift Management

Shifts define working hours and rules for employees.

You can:

  • Create multiple shifts
  • Define start and end time
  • Configure grace time
  • Assign shifts to employees
  • Activate or deactivate shifts

Each employee must be assigned a shift for accurate attendance calculation.

For more details, see Shifts section.

4. Weekly Off Management

Weekly offs define non-working days for employees.

You can:

  • Create weekly off patterns (e.g., Sunday, Saturday-Sunday)
  • Configure alternate weekly offs
  • Assign weekly offs to employees
  • Modify existing weekly off structures

For more details, see Weekly Offs section.

5. Attendance Regularization

Attendance Regularization allows employees to request corrections in their attendance records.

Common use cases:

  • Missed check-in
  • Missed check-out
  • Incorrect working hours
  • Wrong shift mapping

Regularization flow:

  1. Employee submits regularization request
  2. Reporting manager reviews the request
  3. Manager approves or rejects
  4. Attendance record gets updated accordingly

This ensures transparency and approval-based corrections.

  1. Create shifts
  2. Create weekly offs
  3. Assign shifts and weekly offs to employees
  4. Track daily attendance
